The establishment of Occupational Competency Standard and Competency Model is based on the IPO competence development model. It employs analysis methods such as interviews, secondary data analysis, and expert focus group discussions to study the competency analysis. The project has generated the “Competence Standard of Tower Technician for Offshore Wind Farm”, “Standard of Tower Technician for Offshore Wind Farm”, “Competency Standard of Offshore Coating Engineer”, “Competence Standard of Competence Standard of Remote Operated Vehicle Pilot and Super ”, and “Competency-Based Course for Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk in Offshore Wind Industry”. |
Chinese edition of Ocean Science Sequence![]() |
National Academy of Marine Research (NAMR) and National Museum of Marine Science (NMMST) & Technology have collaborated to introduce the Ocean Science Sequence (OSS) developed by Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley. NAMR and NMMST created Chinese textbooks for Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8. In addition, we host OSS seed teacher workshops to help education professionals enhance their knowledge of marine science and cultivate students' ocean literacy.

1st NODASS Ocean Big Data Competition, 2023

This study utilized the platform of the NODASS to conduct a three-day workshop for Mentors (teachers) and consensus camp for participating teams (senior high school students). During the event, participants were introduced to the operation of the NODASS system. Industry experts were invited to guide participants in Python programming language and Microsoft Power BI data visualization software. Participants applied these skills to process and analyze raw data, develop team project ideas, and compete in preliminary and final rounds. Based on the overall performance, awards were given to three outstanding teams, three excellent teams, and four commendable teams, totaling ten awards.

Our institution aims to enhance the ocean citizenship awareness among the youth in our country, enhance the impact and professionalism of talents in the field of marine. NAMR host 2023 National Marine Professionals Cultivation Forum, with the theme “Towards Ocean in Sustainable for the Next Decade”, the forum will encompass six subtopics: shipbuilding and repair, Marine Energy and Engineering, Ocean and Coastal Governance, Marine Ecology and Biotechnology, Ocean Information and Marine Monitoring, Ocean Literacy and Marine Popular Science.

The design of digital teaching materials of Coast Guard Shipbuilding

In order to enhance the research and development of professional techniques and construction theory in the field of shipbuilding in our country, particularly considering the characteristics of coast guard vessels, we systematically elaborate on the four fundamental aspects of shipbuilding engineering. These include Planning of Ship, Stability of Ship, ship structure, and ship propulsion. We have collaborated with Center for Continuing Education, National Cheng Kung University to create digital teaching materials for the promotion of continuing education.
